Introduction

In a dynamic market there is a requirement for an independent provider of offshore insurance solutions. This is a proven fact. We have formed three companies to provide clients with these solutions. These comprise Castletown Insurance Services Limited, a licensed Captive Manager, Castletown Insurance Company Limited, a licensed general insurance company and Ilex Global Reinsurance Company Limited, a general reinsurance company.

The Founders of the Companies

The group of companies was founded in 1998 by the two Directors, Christine Crowther (FCII, Chartered Insurer), and Richard Drinkwater (BA, BSc, ACIB) and comprise of an experienced team of insurance professionals with extensive experience and qualifications.

Castletown is now the largest Independent Captive Manager on the Island with 20 captives, insurers and reinsurers at the end of 2003. With an emphasis on detail and professionalism, the Company has been successful in attracting an excellent client base varying from medium-sized private companies to large multinational corporates.

Our Clients

The Companies' clients presently include those with parents from South Africa, the UK and Eastern Europe and are from a diverse range of industries including the oil and gas sector, mining, manufacturing, retail, construction and distribution services.
